Hawkeye was another urgent case, as he had been hit by a car and was injured and scared. He hid in the storm drain for 3 days before anyone could get him out. By that time, infection had set in and he was in critical condition.
His left legs were severely injured. His front leg could be saved with extensive wound therapy. However, his back leg lost too much skin, muscle and bone and was already gangrened, thus it had to be amputated.
Hawkeye is thought to be a Corgi mix and is only 10 months old and 17 lbs. He is adorable and sweet and loving despite all he has been through! Hawkeye has recovered and is now in his forever home!
