Daffodil came to RCR after we received another call from the shelter asking us to take in a new cruelty case. Her front right leg was severely injured, so we took her immediately to the vet, where x-rays revealed that a part of her bone was shattered and missing. Per the vet, it most likely was a bullet that caused this type of injury and, unfortunately, amputation was the only option in this case.
Despite her condition, Daffodil was as sweet as can be from the moment we picked her up. She is a Pomeranian mix, only 11 lbs and approximately 3 to 4 years old. Daffodil went to a loving foster home to recuperate after surgery. Her foster parents instantly fell in-love and decided to make her a permanent part of their family, which includes another RCR alum!
Criminal charges are being filed on behalf of this little girl.
