Thatcher was rescued from the shelter with a unique medical condition – two holes in the roof of his mouth allowed food and drink to pass from his mouth into his nose and lungs. RCR sprang into action to ensure he received immediate surgery. At the vet, we also learned that Thatcher’s vision was dwindling. He was diagnosed with Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome. This disease eventually causes loss of vision. Despite all that, Thatcher is loving and happy and has been adopted into a wonderful forever home!
