When Zak was found, he had multiple infected puncture wounds on both the inside and outside of his forelimbs. His hind feet were swollen, with raw, bleeding paw pads and missing toenails, making it extremely painful for him to walk.
Vets suspected chemical or thermal burns as the cause of his injuries. He required several weeks of intensive care, including daily hydrotherapy and laser therapy to support healing and reduce pain.
Despite everything he endured, Zak remained a strong and cooperative patient throughout his recovery.
In the end, his Christmas wish came true, Zak found his loving forever home.
