Yogi was picked up by Animal Control and brought to the city shelter in heartbreaking condition, with a broken jaw, an eye infection, and covered in fleas and matted fur. His outward condition was severe, but Red Collar Rescue saw past it and recognized a dog with the heart of a fighter.
Yogi was immediately taken to the veterinarian, where he underwent a two-hour surgery to repair his broken jaw and begin the process of healing.
During recovery, Yogi was placed in a loving foster home where every aspect of his medical care was closely managed. With time, patience, and consistent care, he began to heal, not just physically, but emotionally as well.
A special bond quickly formed between Yogi and his foster mom, and what started as temporary care turned into something forever. Today, Yogi is officially home, becoming a permanent member of the family who helped save his life.
