Willow arrived at the shelter wrapped in a blanket, unable to move her back legs. She dragged herself forward using only her front paws, heartbreaking to witness, but a powerful sign of her will to survive.
X-rays revealed the extent of her injuries: multiple pelvic and hip fractures, likely from severe trauma. An orthopedic specialist recommended immediate surgery, including an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) and repair of her sacroiliac joint.
Thanks to expert care, weeks of recovery, and plenty of crate rest, Willow began to heal. Slowly but surely, she regained strength and mobility, and along the way, stole the hearts of her foster family.
They couldn’t imagine life without her, and Willow has now been officially adopted! From paralyzed and broken to cherished and thriving, Willow is living her very best life in the arms of the family who never gave up on her.
