On Valentine’s Day, animal control found little Valentina with deep lacerations on her hind leg, a fractured tibia, stomach wounds, and severe anemia. She was rushed to the ER, where she began her long road to recovery.
For days, Valentina endured daily bandage and splint changes and fought through pain and infection. Just when things started to improve, tragedy struck again, and she tested positive for the often deadly Parvovirus. She spent more than two weeks in 24/7 critical care, battling for her life.
Against all odds, Valentina survived. Her leg healed without surgery, her strength returned, and her bright spirit began to shine again. What started as a rescue turned into a love story, her foster family fell head over heels for this resilient little girl and officially made her a part of their family.
