Tinker Bell – Recovered

When Tinker Bell entered rescue, she was barely more than a baby. The tiny Teacup Chihuahua was only three months old and weighed just two pounds when a tragic accident left her with a broken back leg after being sat on by a child. Instead of pursuing treatment, her owners planned to have her euthanized.

Thankfully, Red Collar Rescue stepped in just in time. Tinker Bell underwent delicate orthopedic surgery to repair her fractured leg with plates and pins. Despite her tiny size, she proved to be an incredibly resilient little fighter as she began the long process of healing in a loving foster home.

Along the way, Tinker Bell even overcame a serious illness that required emergency care, showing just how strong this little pup truly is. With time, patience, and dedicated veterinary care, her leg continued to heal beautifully.

Today, Tinker Bell is recovering well and growing stronger every day. Now around six months old and still just three pounds, this sweet little survivor is full of personality and ready to begin the next chapter of her life. Soon, she’ll be searching for the special forever home where she can be loved and protected for the rest of her tiny, but mighty, life.
