Stacy was found on the side of the road after being hit by a car, passed by by many before Red Collar Rescue was able to step in and save her.
She had suffered a compound fracture to her leg and required immediate surgery, where a steel plate was placed to stabilize the damage. She then underwent a second procedure to properly realign her hock and begin the long road to healing.
Once she recovered from those surgeries, Stacy still needed additional orthopedic care, including ACL surgery on both of her back legs.
Through it all, she remained resilient, and her foster mom never left her side, nursing her through each stage of recovery with patience and love.
In the end, what began as a rescue turned into a forever story. Her foster mom fell in love and officially adopted her, giving Stacy not just healing but a home.
