Sammie was found injured and unable to walk on side of the road. She was brought to the shelter, they sent an URGENT plea, and RCR responded.
Sammie had a fractured pelvis and fractured left rear hip, along with a skin infection, sores, demodex, and heartworms. It appears she was not well cared for, even before the accident. Sammie spent some time on crate rest so her pelvis could heal on its own, followed by orthopedic surgery to repair her hip. Sammie is only 2 years old and 34 lbs.
Sammie’s new dad was on a walk when he met Sammie outside with her foster mom! He instantly fell in love with Sammie and knew he wanted to make her a part of his family! Sammie now has a new fur sibling to play with and a dad to give her lots of TLC! We could not be happier!
