Romeo was picked up by HPD after being hit by a car, suffering multiple severe pelvic fractures and a broken ankle. It’s a miracle he survived. This brave 2-year-old, 13 lb pup underwent two extensive orthopedic surgeries to rebuild his tiny frame – and later, a third surgery to remove the steel pins in his ankle.
After weeks in the hospital and months of recovery in a loving medical foster home, Romeo’s resilience began to shine through. Slowly but surely, he relearned how to walk, wag, and love again.
Today, this handsome boy is healthy, happy, and home, adopted by a wonderful family who adores him as much as we do. After everything he’s endured, Romeo has truly found his happily ever after.
