Pippin – Recovered & Adopted

Pippin was just 8 months old and barely 5 lbs when he landed on the shelter kill-list, unable to walk due to a fractured and dislocated hip, likely caused by a car or blunt-force trauma. Despite the odds, this tiny fighter wasn’t ready to give up, and neither were we.

We stepped in and rushed him to the vet, where he received an emergency FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) to relieve his pain and restore his mobility. While under anesthesia, he was also neutered and had dental work done.

Pippin went to recover with a loving foster family, who just happened to be the humans of RCR alum Fenway (now Miles). It didn’t take long for everyone to fall head over heels for him… and the feeling was mutual. By Christmas, they made it official.

Now Pippin is living the good life: healed, happy, and home for good. From injured and abandoned to adored and adventuring, this little guy’s journey is a reminder of what love and a second chance can do.
