This adorable girl ended up at the shelter with a bad neck wound and other scrapes & bruises. The shelter sent out an urgent plea, and we rushed Sofie to the vet for much needed medical care.
Sofie is approx 2 years old and 30 lbs. She is a tad bit timid with new people, but who can blame her. As soon as she realizes you mean no harm, she smothers you with kisses!
Sofie loves to play with her toys! She is crate-trained and house-trained. You just have to say “into bed” and she goes. She loves her foster sibling, though sometimes she plays a little rough with him as he is 11 years old. But most of the time they snuggle together on the sofa or in a dog bed.
Sofie takes snacks gently, sits and stays before eating her dinner, and loves raw carrots or broccoli stalks. She will come and sit/ lie down near the table but does not beg. She is good at both at the groomers and the vet, giving everyone kisses and tail wags.
Sofie walks well on leash, until she sees another dog/cat/squirrel. Then she gets very excited and wants to run in their direction. Sofie is currently enrolled in dog training classes to help ease her excitement. Sofie would love to have a big yard to run and play, along with lots of soft cushy beds inside her home!
