Rosemary is another sad statistic of the Houston homeless pet overpopulation problem. Someone called animal control to report a sick dog lying in their yard. She was covered in fleas and had no food or water. She did not even move when they came to pick her up. Due to her medical condition, Rosemary was quickly added to the shelter kill-list. She was already in line to be euthanized when we rescued her.
Rosemary had a lot of issues including generalized areas of alopecia, missing and thinning hair, sarcoptic mange, open sores, crusting & thickening of her skin, chronic ear infection, and more. But that is all in the past! With great vet care and a loving foster parent, she is now all healthy and loving life!
Rosemary is estimated to be around 6 years old and 21 lbs and has the biggest brown eyes that will melt your heart! She is a bit timid, but who can blame her. Humans have not been kind to her.
