Meet Rooster! He was found with a missing eye, thus he was named after John Wayne’s character, Rooster Cogburn, who also lost an eye.
In addition, Rooster had a fractured and dislocated hip which required an orthopedic FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery. But he has recovered and is good as new!
Rooster is about 2 years old and 25 lbs. Shelter called him a Beagle mix, but he he is a low-rider with short little legs, so who knows! He is a sweet little guy who enjoys hanging out with his foster dad and snuggling on the couch! Rooster is crate-trained and house-trained. He just wants a forever family to call his own!
