Like way too many Houston homeless pets, Roo was hit and severely injured by a car. He survived the crash, only to end up at the shelter to be euthanized.
Roo had a complete fracture of his right femur and a second fracture of his tibia and a dislocated hip, requiring 3 orthopedic procedures. Shelters have no means to handle these type of surgeries, and they are a huge financial strain on rescue groups. But we took one look at Roo’s pleading face, and knew we had to help him! With no time to waste, we saved him from death-row and took him immediately to the surgeon to begin his journey of hope!
Roo healed well and is loving life in a foster home with his foster siblings! He would be best in a home with another dog his approx age and size who also loves to play!
