MEET RIGGS! This adorable little guy is only 14 lbs and approx 1 year old. Very gentle and sweet. He gets along with other dogs, enjoys human affection and gives great kisses! Riggs is also house-trained and crate trained and he walks well on a leash!
Poor guy had some bad luck before coming to Red Collar Rescue. He was a stray who animal control darted in order to catch him, and it appears the dart caused trauma to his spinal nerves. After the incident, Riggs could not use his back legs . X-rays were done, and there were no broken bones. With anti inflammatory drugs and time, Riggs is walking and running with no problems!
We are looking for an experienced pet person with another dog Riggs approx age and size. His best friend Gidget is also available for adoption if you have a heart big enough for both of them!
