PIERSON was found by a good samaritan and turned into the city shelter. He was limping due to a broken back leg. Injured dogs are the first to end up on the kill-list, and Pierson was no exception.
RCR could not let this sweet boy lose his life, so we pulled him to safety. He got a Freedom Ride out of the shelter and straight to the orthopedic vet for much needed femur surgery.
Pierson is about 2 years old and 24 lbs. Despite his pain, he is friendly to both humans and K9 kids. He looks to have some Sheltie in him. Such a cutie pie!
His foster parents fell in love and adopted him!
