This sweet little girl was picked up by animal control after it was reported that she had been lying in a citizen’s flower garden for a couple of days. Due to her injury, she ended up on the shelter kill-list, and RCR stepped in to save her.
Paislee had orthopedic surgery to repair her dislocated hip. The surgery went well and she is recovering nicely.
Paislee loves to play with her foster family’s other dogs. From the moment she wakes up she searches for them to play with. She follows their lead and plays as much as they will let her. After her play time she’s happy to snooze in a dog bed or on your lap if it’s available. She does well on walks and just wants to meet everyone and get pets. She loved being the Halloween greeter. She is not a yapper; she doesn’t tend to bark at the door but follows her foster family’s pups to find out what the commotion is about when they “greet” someone.
She has learned the doggie door and loves the sort of cooler weather. She does like to lay in the flower beds when she’s in the back yard. She doesn’t dig just finds a nice low bush to chill on.
Paislee knows how to sit for treats and at feeding time sits for her food. During the evenings she’s happy to settle in and snuggle up to watch TV and lounge around. She will squeeze in or plot down on top of the bigger dogs if they let her. Paislee loves having her belly rubbed and gives you the sweetest puppy eyes.
At night she loves to sleep with someone and snuggle up or sleeps in a dog bed close to the bed. She is still puppyish and not ready for unsupervised free range of the house. She will need chew toys and will steal socks if she finds them, she doesn’t actually eat them just moves them around the house. She hasn’t eaten any shoes, but likes to try to nibble on laces.
Paislee is less than a year old and only 17 lbs. She is the cutest thing with her Dachshund shaped body and her German Shepherd shaped head! She is adorable and friendly!
