MYSTERY was given her name, as when we rescued her, it was a “mystery” as to what breed of dog she is and what color her hair would be when it grew back in.
Mystery was rescued from the kill-list at a local shelter with a bad skin infection and nearly hairless. Unbeknownst to anyone, her uterus was infected and carrying stillborn puppies. She lost a lot of blood, and was anemic and near septic from the infection. She had emergency surgery, and spent several days in the ER recovering.
Mystery is now feeling better and her hair is starting to grow back. She is about 2 years old and 30 lbs and good with people and other K9 kids. We are still not sure, but she is beginning to look like black and tan Shiba Inu mix. This sweet girl is in need of a foster or forever home.
