Leann was confiscated from her owners by animal control. Other dogs they kept in the backyard were also confiscated including Leon – Red Collar took him into our program as well.
Leann was in serious condition. Her 2 front legs had been broken and had healed incorrectly. Her back left kneecap was dislocated; her back right leg had also been previously fractured. We immediately took Leann to the orthopedic surgeon. Her first surgery was to repair the dislocated kneecap. Leann can get around in her current condition, so decisions will be made in the future as to whether additional surgeries will be needed.
