Ivey was on the shelter kill-list last week due to a large deep gaping hole in her neck from unknown trauma. Her jugular vein was narrowly missed! Poor girl needed a lifeline, and RCR gave it to her.
Ivey spent few days in critical care getting much need IV fluids, pain meds, antibiotics, etc., along with surgery to debride, clean and suture the wound. She then had to go back to the hospital for bandage changes for several weeks
Ivey is approx 6 months old and weighs 16 lbs. She stole the hearts of everyone! What a sweet and gentle little girl!
Ivey’s foster mom fell in love with her and is now her furever mom! We know Ivey will have the BEST LIFE ever!
