BORIS ended up at the shelter with a broken back leg. Injuries are an instant ticket to death-row, and Boris was no exception. RCR was contacted, as Boris time had run out. Even though foster homes and funds are scarce, we couldn’t let this cutie die!
Boris was picked up and taken straight to the orthopedic surgeon, where he had surgery requiring a plate and screws the following day. The surgery went well, and Boris is now fully recovered. He’s a tiny little thing at only 16 pounds and approx 5 years old.
We do not know what happened in Boris’s past, but we know it was not good. Boris is shy with new people and needs time to trust. He seems to prefer women over men, but warms up to them with a little TLC. Human children make him nervous, but K9 kids are fine! He likes to play with his doggie friends, go for long walks, and sleep on the sofa or in his crate.
