Meet BLACK, one of our Kaleidoscopic Kids.
Black’s Mom GiGi, was turned into the city shelter with an injured front leg. Red Collar pulled her to safety, but sadly our vet determined the leg was fractured in several places and could not be saved.
A post surgery checkup a couple of weeks later, revealed a surprise – GiGi was pregnant. Fast forward a few weeks and 6 puppies were born on March 25th- 3 boys and 3 girls.
GiGi is a young 14 lbs Papillon mix. We think her puppies will be a little bigger in the 18 to 25 lbs. range.
Comments from Black’s fosters:
Black is arguably the sweetest. He loves to be held and cuddles all the time. He loves to be nibbling and kissing on the holder. He looks a lot like his mother; he will probably stay on the smaller side. He gets along with everyone, and he loves wrestling and zooming with his siblings. But his favorite thing is snuggles with his person. He was one of the first to figure out the doggy door!
The puppies will be ready for introductions to potential families on June 11th and ready to go new homes June 20th.
We prefer that any kids in the home be at least 10 years of age.
