Arelis in 5 words –
happy, low-key, cuddler, sassy, gentle.
Poor Arelis was turned into the city shelter by her owners who requested she be euthanized. She was in pain and unable to urinate. Apparently they had not taken her to a vet for evaluation. Red Collar took Arelis into our program; x-rays revealed she had a huge number of bladder stones. Surgery was performed to remove the stones and Arelis is now happy and pain free in a foster home.
Arelis is approx 8-9 years old and 22 lbs. She is a sweet friendly girl who follows her foster Mom around the house. She does well with her other foster K-9 siblings, and will fearlessly jump into the middle of the pack, then wiggle in to find a place to sleep among them. In addition to taking a good nap, Arelis loves to eat. Her energy level can be described as low, but at times she will take a short run across the backyard with a big smile on her face – run may be too strong of a word – with her short legs it is more of a scamper.
