Ripley’s Story

RIPLEY IS BEING FOSTERED IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. OUT-OF-STATE ADOPTION AND TRANSPORTATION CAN BE ARRANGED:

MEET RIPLEY!

Ripley was found injured on the side of the road and taken to a nearby shelter. They discovered he had a microchip, but when his owners were contacted, they decided not to reclaim him since he needed emergency medical care. Due to his injuries, he ended up on the shelter kill-list, and we came to his urgent aid!

Ripley has recovered from his severe wounds and septic infection. After a long stay in the ER followed by loving care in a medical foster home, Ripley is good as new!

Ripley is about 1 and 1/2 years old and 22 lbs and sweet as can be. He is fully healthy, even though part of his hair where there were deep wounds may never grow back. Despite his prior circumstances, he loves people! He also loves playing with other dogs and would be best in a home with a K9 friend. He is an incredibly fast runner! He has a little nub of a tail just like a rabbit. We have nicknamed him “Rabbit” or ‘Cottontail.” He is crate-trained and house-trained and a joy to be around!
