When we rescued Midge, she was on the shelter’s euthanasia list and could barely walk. Her back legs were unstable, and she had trouble controlling her movement, with wounds on her paws from dragging them. X-rays were inconclusive, so Midge underwent a CT scan to better understand her condition.
It was determined that her sacroiliac joints were slightly separated and inflamed, causing her mobility issues. Midge began daily laser and physical therapy – and her progress was amazing! Over time, her strength and stability returned, and she didn’t need surgery after all.
Today, this sweet 10 lb girl is walking, playing, and living her best life with her new mom, dad, and K9 sibling.
