Marcella – Recovered

When Marcella, affectionately called Marci, was rescued, she was suffering from a large bleeding tumor protruding from her head. The painful mass required immediate medical attention, and she was rushed to the emergency hospital for evaluation. During her exam, veterinarians also discovered she had an inguinal hernia, where part of her intestines had pushed through a weakened area of her abdominal wall.

Marci underwent two surgeries during her hospital stay, one to remove the tumor and another to repair the hernia. Afterward, she remained under close care while recovering from the procedures and receiving treatment for infections associated with the tumor.

Despite everything she endured, Marci remained incredibly sweet and affectionate with everyone caring for her. When the pathology results finally arrived, the news was a huge relief, the tumor was benign, and Marci was expected to make a full recovery.

Today, this gentle 12-pound girl has healed beautifully and is back to enjoying the simple joys of life, treats, naps, and plenty of affection. Marci is now ready to find the loving forever home she’s been waiting for.
