Lillina – Recovered & Adopted

Lillina was only 1 year old and 18 lbs when she was hit and dragged by a car, leaving her with large, deep wounds, a dangerous infection, fractured metatarsals in her left rear leg, and a possible fractured pelvis. The shelter was ready to euthanize her, but RCR stepped in to save her life.

She spent 10 long days in 24/7 critical care, receiving daily sedation for wound cleaning, bandage changes, and splint adjustments, plus multiple surgeries, including procedures to suture her wounds and correct prolapsed eyelids. Despite everything, Lillina remained sweet and trusting with the hospital staff.

Now, Lillina is recovering in a medical foster home, still attending follow-up appointments for her wounds and leg, but steadily growing stronger each day. Her resilience and sweet spirit are a reminder that every dog deserves a second chance, and with love, care, and support, even the most dire situations can have a hopeful ending.
