When Leo was found on the side of the road after being hit by a car, the tiny 12-pound pup was barely responsive and unable to move. X-rays revealed devastating injuries, multiple complex fractures on both sides of his pelvis, and a shattered left hip. The trauma left Leo unable to stand or walk, and he was rushed into critical care.
Over the following weeks, Leo underwent three orthopedic surgeries to repair the extensive damage to his pelvis and hip. His recovery required careful monitoring, pain management, and months of physical therapy as he slowly worked to regain strength in his back legs.
Despite everything he endured, Leo remained the sweetest little fighter. Even while hospitalized and in pain, he greeted his caregivers with gentle kisses and a brave spirit that won the hearts of everyone around him.
Today, Leo has made an incredible recovery. Fully healed and walking again, with an adorable little gait that makes him even more charming, this resilient pup has found the loving forever home he always deserved.
