Kermit was in excruciating pain when he was picked up as a stray by Animal Control. He had a high fever and a necrotic penis with a serious infection.
RCR picked him up from the shelter and raced to the vet. His penis couldn’t be saved and surgery was done to “re-route his plumbing.”
This 10-month-old, 12-pound snuggle-bug made a full recovery. While fostered at a doggie daycare, Kermit became best friends with Howie, a small dog who spent most weekdays there. Howie’s Mom and Dad heard about their special bond and decided to make the boys real brothers.
