Kate is our newest rescue, and this sweet curly girl has already endured more than any dog should. At just five years old, she is now blind due to untreated glaucoma and cataracts, conditions that went neglected until her owner surrendered her to the shelter to be euthanized.
When she arrived, she was heavily matted and suffering from severe, painful ear infections that required sedation just to properly clean and treat. Despite everything she had been through, Kate remained gentle, trusting, and incredibly sweet, with the cutest wiggly tail that never seemed to stop.
Red Collar Rescue stepped in to give Kate the care and comfort she desperately needed. With treatment, patience, and love, she finally began to feel safe again.
Today, Kate is safe, healed, and surrounded by love in her forever home, proof that even after neglect and hardship, a beautiful life is still possible.
