Kanga – Recovered & Adopted

Kanga

She was named Kanga at the city shelter because she sat on her hind quarters as her 2 broken front legs dandled in the air like a Kangaroo. Animal Control had brought her in after receiving a call alerting them to a dog in distress.

Kanga was unable to walk and was going to be euthanized unless a rescue group pulled her immediately. Red Collar rushed to the shelter and whisked her straight to an orthopedic surgeon. She had surgery on each leg.

Kanga is currently in a foster home for 8 weeks of crate rest and recuperation. She can walk around and get herself outside to potty.

Kanga is only 7 months old and 25 lbs. She loves getting attention and spending time with her people. She’s very calm and sweet despite all she’s been through. We are happy to report that Kanga has been adopted!
