Hendrix – Recovered & Adopted

Hendrix is a true miracle survivor who cheated death not once, but five times. He was found lying in a ditch, motionless and covered in deep bite wounds, likely the victim of an animal attack. Severely anemic, septic, and barely breathing, Hendrix was rescued just in time by Red Collar Rescue and rushed to the ER.

He endured multiple attacks and spent days lying alone, injured and in pain. He underwent emergency abdominal surgery for a stomach perforation that nearly cost him his life. To support his fragile body, he received three blood transfusions and required a feeding tube. He also battled sepsis, a life-threatening infection. And through it all, he escaped euthanasia at the shelter, saved by a last-minute rescue that gave him a second chance.

After 17 days in 24/7 critical care, Hendrix slowly gained strength and spirit. With the help of a compassionate vet team and a dedicated medical foster, he defied the odds with quiet resilience and a gentle wag of the tail.

Today, Hendrix is living the life he always deserved, safe, loved, and pain-free. His story reminds us all that every life is worth fighting for.
