Fleur de Lis was found on the side of the road by a police officer, unable to move and covered in ants. She lay in extreme pain in 100-degree heat with no shade, food, or water, completely alone and afraid, left waiting for help that hadn’t yet come.
Despite her devastating injuries, Fleur still wagged her tail and sought out human connection, holding onto a gentle spirit even in her suffering. When the city shelter issued an urgent plea for rescue, Red Collar Rescue stepped in to give her the chance she so desperately needed.
Fleur was diagnosed with a severely separated pelvis and underwent extensive surgery followed by a long rehabilitation process to help her heal and regain strength.
Through months of dedicated care and unwavering resilience, Fleur slowly recovered, learning to walk, trust, and live without pain again.
Today, Fleur’s story has a beautiful ending: she has been adopted by her foster family and is finally home, safe, and deeply loved.
