Destini – Recovered

When Destini came to us, she was in excruciating pain and unable to walk. She had suffered severe trauma – multiple pelvic fractures, twisted and fractured vertebrae, and compression of her spinal nerve roots. Her injuries were several weeks old, making recovery even more complicated and painful.

Despite it all, Destini never gave up. She underwent three major surgeries – a stem cell injection, a laminectomy to remove bone fragments compressing her spine, and a fluoroscopy-guided steroid injection to relieve pain and inflammation. With every procedure and therapy session, her strength began to return.

Today, Destini can walk short distances on her own, wag her tail, and enjoy gentle strolls around the neighborhood with her foster parent. She continues daily physical therapy and is making incredible progress. She is looking for her furever home!
