CHESTER was hit by a car and brought to the shelter where he was set to be euthanized due to his injuries. Red Collar Rescue could not let that happen…we knew we had to help Chester!
He had a severely broken and dislocated jaw and a fractured radius and ulna in his left front leg. First, Chester underwent orthopedic surgery to put his front left leg back together with plates and pins. Then, he had dental surgery to repair his broken and dislocated jaw. He also had a severe case of periodontal disease which required several teeth be removed.
Chester is only 4-5 years old and 13 lbs. He is incredibly sweet and has maintained a great attitude throughout his ordeal! Only good things are in store for Chester and his new family from this point forward!
