CC was confiscated by HPD and taken to BARC (Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care) as a cruelty case, thus the name CC. Her prior owner was a teenage boy, who we believe put CC into a dog fighting ring.
CC was seriously injured in the face. While CC did not lose her sight, the scar tissue on her eyelid kept it from closing properly and her eye stayed irritated with excessive drainage. CC has since had eye surgery which repaired the eyelid and she is recuperating nicely. She has also been vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped. CC stole the heart of a lovely family that loves her to pieces!
This crime is in the process of being prosecuted and a warrant has been issued for the suspect’s arrest.
