Beryl – Recovered & Adopted

Meet Beryl, a brave 2-year-old Westie mix who defied the odds after a terrifying coyote attack left him with deep lacerations to his head, abdomen, and rear leg. When he was rescued, X-rays revealed that air and fluid had collected beneath his skin from the bite wounds, requiring urgent care and the placement of drains to prevent infection.

Beryl spent seven days in 24/7 critical care, receiving daily wound cleanings, bandage changes, and round-the-clock attention. Despite everything, his sweet and gentle spirit never wavered – he greeted his caregivers with tail wags and love every step of the way.

After recovering, Beryl faced one last hurdle: finding a foster home. With no fosters available, he temporarily stayed at a vet clinic until the perfect family came along. And they did – his new forever family saw his story online, fell instantly in love, and welcomed him home as soon as he was healed.

Today, Beryl is living his best life, surrounded by love, safety, and all the belly rubs he deserves.
