When Bayou was found clinging to the banks of a bayou, she was soaked, unable to walk, and crying out in pain. It was clear she had endured severe trauma and was fighting to survive.
Exams revealed multiple life-threatening injuries, including a shattered left femur, several pelvic fractures, and a large abdominal hematoma. She was transferred to Texas A&M Animal Hospital, where advanced imaging and a complex orthopedic surgery gave her a chance at recovery.
Despite everything she endured, Bayou never gave up. With expert care and time to heal, her strength slowly returned.
Today, Bayou is walking again, an incredible testament to her resilience and the power of a second chance.
