Aries – Recovered & Adopted

When Aries was found after being attacked by other animals, he was barely clinging to life. His body temperature had dropped to 90 degrees, his blood pressure was too low to register, and he was in septic shock. Covered in deep, infected wounds filled with necrotic tissue and maggots, this 17 lb pup was moments from death when he arrived at the ER.

Aries spent a month in 24/7 critical care, undergoing three surgeries to remove dead tissue, close his wounds, and place drains. He battled a resistant staph infection that required a rare antibiotic only available through Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital. Through every procedure, transfusion, and IV drip, Aries proved he had the heart of a warrior.

Despite the unimaginable pain he endured, Aries never lost his will to live or his gentle spirit. He became a staff favorite at Vergi 24/7, often keeping the vet team company as they worked. Day by day, his strength returned.

Today, Aries is thriving, no more bandages, drains, or feeding tubes. What once seemed impossible became a story of survival, love, and second chances. His recovery is nothing short of a miracle, and we couldn’t be prouder of this brave boy.
