Arelis – Recovered & Adopted

Arelis was in excruciating pain and struggling to urinate when her owners dumped her at the shelter rather than getting her the medical care she desperately needed. An x-ray revealed she had multiple large bladder stones, and because surgery was her only option, Arelis was immediately placed on the shelter’s kill list.

This sweet senior girl needed a lifeline, and we answered the call. We rushed Arelis to the ER, where she was taken straight into surgery. The vet team was stunned by the sheer number and size of the bladder stones they removed.

Arelis pulled through her surgery and has been thriving in her foster home. She remains on prescription food and medications to prevent recurrence and is monitored with regular x-rays and bloodwork. At her 5-month checkup, Arelis received a clean bill of health, no new stones!

Now about 8–9 years old and 25 lbs, Arelis is a gentle, sassy little lady with a love for naps, snacks, and her doggie siblings. She’s been adopted into a home where she’s finally getting the love and care she’s always deserved.
